4.0 keeps bogging down and randomly dying

OK so here's my issue sometimes when i'm driving down the road or coming to a stop or even while stopped my jeep will begin to bogg down and try to die or it'll bog down and i'll pump the gas and it'll either back fire or it'll just keep going like nothing happened what might this be???
