31s with lift?

What lift should I get if I were to get 31" A/Ts where rubbing would not be an issue. I want to keep a some what stock apperance, but also look better and a little higher than how it looks now. Let me see some pictures with what you have, remember somewhat stock looking apperiance, no 10" boggers please!

And what are your opinions on the Moab wheels?

Thanks!

Here's mine. It has a 2.5 bb and 245's they rub. And they are pretty much bald mtr's. Hope this helps. And the moabs are great! I got 5 wheels and tires for 200. And I personally think it looks great.

Yeah they make the ZJs look "newer". I like my stock Aluminums, but when I make a tire swap, I might as well just find some Moabs with tires allready. After I figure out what lift I should get first of course!

Looks awesome though!

The front wheelwells are fairly small, and so are rears. If you do not want to trim the fenders, and smash in the pinchweld seams on front whellwell you will need something around 3" or more lift, and you need to bumpstop to prevent rubbing. Depending on your wheel choise 31 x 10.50 tires will also rub the LCAs at full lock.

I ran 245/75 R16 fairly bald MTs with no lift and no trimming, they rubbed very slightly. I then swapped to 32 x 11.50 BFG MTs, 1.75" BB lift and trimmed front fenders and both bumpers some, slightly extended bumpstops in the front. They fit barely, with some rubbing at the back of the front wheelwell (even with the pinchweld lips smacked in) and on the LCAs at full lock with 15x8 4" BS wheels.

1.75" BB, 32s and some trimming:

you can fit 31s on a 2" budget Boost with little to no trimming
but with 31s on stock rims you will rub on your control arms at full steering lock
so
2" bb
aftermarket rims with 4" (+/- .25'') of backspacing and you will be good

im running 31s on a little more than 4" of lift and i think it looks fine, but i will be running 33x10.50s when i burn these up

Yeah, I have been looking around, and 31s seem like they are the rubbing point. Any 30s with problems?

Thanks for the feedback guys, Im new to this and I have been converted from being a Ford Mustang gear head to JEEP! I love mine so far, I just want it to look slightly different from the grandmas you randomly see driving one down the road.

I'm running DuraTracs 245/75/16 (30.7") tires on a 2" BB and had to trim the front bumper ever so slightly

Personally mine don't rub that bad. But they are super worn out and I will have to trim a slight amount when I do get new tires. I just keep putting it off. Lol

Mine rub on the pass side control arm only because my axle is not centered. I had to trim a C hair off of the corner of my bumper but you can't tell. I have 245x75's. Guard Dogs are nice and they measure out at 31" www.treadwright.com
