30x9.5" tires on stock ZJ?

Excuse the TJ guy for coming over here and asking a stupid question, but I need some info for a friend.

Will a 30 x 9.5 R15 fit under a stock ZJ without trimming. The tires are somewhat worn and actually measure 29" tall. This ZJ will not see any offroading in the foreseeable future! (sad, but true)

Also, it looks like the Canyon wheels are a direct fit for him also, right?

Canyon

* 15x8 aluminum
* 5 on 4.5" bolt pattern
* Backspacing = 5.5"
* Optional wheel with 30" tire package
* Offset = +25 mm

Thanks for any helpful info you can offer.

Yes, they'll fit.

Those are Bridgestone Dueler MTs 30 x 9.50 15s on the stock sawblade wheels.

The 30s might rub a little on pot holes and uneven surfaces

I have TJ Canyons with 30's on my rig. IIRC the TJ Canyon has .25" more backspacing and are 1" wider than the ZJ Canyons.

I had my 31s on my ZJ before I put on my spacers, only time it ever rubbed was full lock left or right, and only touched my fenders at full flex.

30s are basically the biggest you can go on stock without rubbing

15x7 Canyons came on zj's. Tj Canyons are 15x8 but I think you are still going to be ok. I am running 15x7 Tj Grizzlys on 30x9.50 bfg ko's and no rubbing.

I am about to see if 15x8 Tj Ravines will clear with 31x10.50 bfg km2's stock. I think I will need spacers atleast and prob a bumper trim unless I put a 2 inch BB under it.

Trim your front bumper cover and get wheel spacers, and you should be fine besides at full flex.

I missed this the first time I read thru, are you running spacers with the TJ Canyons or just the wheels alone?

With or with-out the BB?

Without, I ran mine like that for a good three months (wheeling almost every weekend too).
