30-40mph Shake...I don't think its DW.

I know what death wobble is. I had it on my old 95 ZJ that wasn't lifted.

I know have a 04' WJ (setup is in my sig.) I experience crucial vibrations/shakes at 30-40mph. Streering wheel left to right.

If it gets bad enough it does develop into death wobble, but it doesn't seem the exact same.

Car doesn't shake at low speeds nor at highway speeds.

This was a problem for a while, I just replaced the rotors for stillens and added a JKS trackbar, the jeep feels more solid but still has the shake at 30-40.

Any ideas?

Pretty much sounds like DW. Mine is doing the exact same thing - I've got a new SS and TRE's on the way to fix it.

Check the balance on the wheels. Mine used to shake the steering at 45-50 mph range. I moved the front tires to rear and the shake was gone. That told me that the wheels were out of balance. Total cost to me: $0.

And if you still have your stock wheels put them on and see if you still get it

check the inner circumference or you WHEELS for mud and debris that could be throwing your wheels off balance, also spend $20 and get them balanced and rotated.

that is the first step i would take.

after that check your track bar and other fastening bolts up front.

if it still continues i'd suggest a steering stabilizer but i have a feeling you will not need to go that far.

after a good session in the dirt my entire wj shakes like mad from debris unbalancing the wheels, i now keep a small putty scraper in my hatch to clean them out before i even leave the trails.

good luck !
