Buy a rust free one from FL for cheap and swap in the parts from a northern junkyard. there's a million ZJs in junkyards for rot.

Still kind of a pipe dream right now. I'd have to source a transmission tailshaft piece to replace the transfercase.

Another 2wd owner here. Mine is a 5.2 with 3.73's. Has a cheap ebay intake on it, and a flowmaster muffler. It sounds more like a chevy truck than a jeep. It's decently quick too, I've taken it to the drag strip for ****s and giggles.

Me too man . I live in the Northwest and we get some rough winters this year, but I did fine this winter. Everyone makes fun of me for having a 2wd jeep, but I'll be laughing at them when they have transfer case or axle problems lol

Yeah mine is stock other than the intake and muffler. It ran 10.2 in the 1/8th mile. Not fast, but definately faster than what anyone expexted lol. Hayleyrz, don't mention people having axle problems, the rear in mine is about to cost me some money lol.

Nothing right now. I'm working on fixing some body damage (which will get finished today!). I put a spectre panel filter in, but I'd like to get an exhaust on there. It really only serves as a DD and a band van, so I dont plan on modding this much.

The intake is just a cheapo off ebay. Think it was $40 shipped lol. The muffler is a flowmaster that was already on it when I got it. Words can't describe how good it sounds though, it surprises people all the time. A lot of people have thought that I had swapped a different motor into it, because of the exhaust.

I "think" it's a 40 series muffler, nothing else. It's a pretty hacked up job that was done, but it doesn't leak so I've left it as is lol. Some have told me that the mufflers were labeled but all I see on mine is flowmaster lol.
