231 question

Looking to swap in a 231 to replace the 249 in my 9er, and I have someone telling me that a 231 from a 2001 Dodge Durango will bolt right up. The research I've done (google images of the two t-cases side-by-side) makes me think they're right, but I don't want to drop $200 on something that doesn't fit correctly... So I came to you guys with your vast wealth of knowledge

Thanks in advance!
-Evan

no. has to be from a jeep. IIRC dodge tcases are clocked differently on the transmission.

That sounds right, according to what little reading I have done. Anyone else agree/disagree?
