2004 4.7 overdrive off light comes on by itself

My 2004 4.7L is having problems with the overdrive. It drives fine but the OD off light keeps coming on sometimes. On start up it usually comes on. I can hit the button to turn it off but it comes back on once more immediately. After that it seems OK and maybe will come on one more time during the trip. Hitting the button always turns the light back off and back into overdrive. I have 80000 miles on the clock.
One trans shop said the trans is good and must be an electrical problem. Any ideas? Tried to pull a code but there are none.
