Okay so my sunroof in my Jeep decided the other day to stop working. It will open up the back part, but will not open all the way. The dealership told me that one of the wires busted which is why It wont up. the only way to fix this I was told was to replace the motor/cord which is way way too expensive for me.

I was wondering if anyone had instructions on how to get into the sunroof to see if the cord is broken or not. A friend of mine who works on jeeps, but never this problem before, suggested a piece that pinches both ends of the broken cord to connect them again...is that possible?

What I really want at the moment is step by step directions to get into the sunroof area where we can take a look at the problem without ruining the rest of the jeep.
