2001 GC problem! Help!

Hey guys! Im new here! And fairly new to jeeps. Mine is having a problem and im hoping yall might be able to give me a general idea whats wrong.

It acted funny yesterday morning, took 3 try's to start, started fine all the rest of the day until I had to go to work. Then it took like 8 try's and had a bit on smoke when I finally got it started.what does that sound like? Also, 1 more question. I got the car from a used dealership bout 4 months ago. It said "sold as is" but I'm still paying on it (till august).
The carlot has a shop and mechanic. Do they have to fix my car until I get it paid off? I'm broke and scared they will say it's my problem! And no other car, so I'm kinda scewed!
