Like a budget boost or a full blown spring lift?

Either way, you're still just 2wd.

true, however i was thinking of just putting lockers in the rear and palying with it on dirt, no real 4 wheeling, but would like to have more suspension travel, for jumping. Also clearance for stuff.

iwas looking at the pro comp lift, i hear it fits on the 2wd drive too. is this a good kit ?

Any of the suspension kits would fit.

I've never looked at a 2WD Jeep. Does it have an empty axle going across the front? Is it like a tube? Is there an empty pumkin on there too?

just a tube, however i have seen projects where they installed a 4wd system on a 2wd and make it a true 4wd.

Interesting.
Seems to me, like Hunter says, any lift kit should work then. You are just going to have to be careful what kind of terrain you take on. It isn't hard to get stuck in a 2WD.
