2 small electrical problems on a 93 GC laredo....

My dad's ZJ has two little electrical bugs that drive me nuts every time I drive it... The first one is the windshield wiper switch... It only works in the 'HI' setting, and every other setting stops the wipers dead. It did this for a while, then it acted normal, now it's been doing this again for a few months. I'm guessing it's the wiper switch, but I want to make sure before I go spend the money on it. The second gripe is the overhead console. The little display that shows direction and temperature hasn't worked in years... It did the same thing as the wiper thing, but not at the same time... It died, then worked for a while, and is now dead again. Is there a fuse for this in the panel? Or is it something more expensive? (BTW, the keyless entry still works fine). Sorry for such a long post, but thanks in advance for any help you folks can offer.

Dont know about the overhead console.. But I would think it is the wiper motor itself that is bad. They arent that expensive .Call autozone...
