2+ mpg increase after adjusting tv cable

I adjusted my tv cable or (kickdown) cable on my 96 zj with 211,000 miles and the last 3 tanks since I have averaged 17 mpg when before I would average 15. This is with a 5 inch lift and 32 mts and stock gearing. Speedo has been calibrated. I only tightened the cable a small amount but it must have been needed. Just though I would share it.

Did the adjustment make it shift harder or softer?

I did this on my 98 with 175K on it and it shifts more precise now too. It used to hesitate a little between 2+3 shifts
