2" lift with new Tires! with Pics 2" with 265/70 R16!!

Alright I finally tracked down some tires yesterday about mid day. I ended up going to a firestone store about 45 to 50 miles away from my home. I left work early Friday with the intentions of getting the Goodyear Wrangler Silent Armors and found out when I got to the tire shop (after they told they were on order and they should be there the day before) that they are discontinued in that size (that size being 265/70 R16) I was totally pissed. Long story short, I tracked down a set of Bridgestone Dueler Revos in the same size 265/70 R16.

I have a 2” Rocky Road Lift, Black soft 8’s that are 16” x 8” with 5” of backspacing. I just thought all the new guys would like to see the biggest tire that can be fit in there and how to do it. I am sure there may be better setups but you have to start (and learn) somewhere.

They will require some work to be done to the front fascia, either trimming or to have it pulled back away from it. Trimming will probably yield the best results.

I kind of like the white letters on the outside, i imagine it is just personal preference.

I priced a set of MT/Rs and they wanted over $1100 dollars for them locally (hick shop)!!

Okay,

take the wheels off and with some krylon, give a little shot to the outers to paint them black.

No it isnt. It looks good. I did it. Why would you want some brown rusty circle in the middle of your black new glossy rims?

Here's a pic with mine painted black. You don't see the rusted axle nut anymore. You just see all black.

Sorry I mis understood, Yes I tottaly agree that it looks good, painting my hubs is part of my plan, it has just been too cold to paint (I get to brake out the heat gun tonight). We are supposed to get some snow around the middle of the week so I need to do that tonight. Also I am going to pick up a set of wheel locks to that no one can steal them.

Or you can just get the centercaps and paint them black like I did...

Little dirty in this pic, but you get the point:

bridgestone revo's = excellent tire

I got the 265/75/16 on a 2.5" lift, love it...and yes, I except that I should have listened to arlo and will probably just go to 4" with inthe next year or so.
