2-din head unit

I'm thinking of getting this head unit from a guy (Kenwood - DDX514) and am wondering how easy it might be to modify the stock console to accomodate it. I found someone on CarDomain who did this (http://www2.cardomain.com/ride/2937891) but don't know if I have the expertise to do this install.
Has anyone here done an install like this?
