1998 Grand Cherokee Seat Question

The foam on the driver's seat cushion of my 98 Grand Cherokee is worn / deformed from everyday use.

Has anyone ever disassembled a Driver's and a Passenger's seat to learn if the seat cushions are the same? By seat cushion I mean the entire lower part of the seat to include the seat frame.

My plan is to dissassemble a good passenger's seat in a Junk Yard and install it on the driver's side of my GC.

I used this trick before on my 1995 Saturn.

They are slightly different shapes but are probably close enough to work.

Just returned from the local pick-n-pull junk yard and discovered that the lower seat frames are different so I can't unbolt a passenger's side seat cushion and bolt it in to the driver's side.

The next option is to disassemble a passenger's side seat cushion and remove the foam padding, then install it on the driver's side.

Swapping the foam out should work for you.
