1998 GC fuel filter

Can anyone tell me where this is. Is it incorporated with the fuel pump assembly? I went to autozone the other day and the tech told me that they don't even have fuel filter as an option for a part in their online catalog. I'm a little confused. Any help is greatly appriciated

I believe its in the tank. On my 95 its up around the drivers side front wheel well. I think on 97+ they are in the tank though.

according to the parts catalog, the filter is in the top of the pump.
