Just be careful with that. The ones I received broke in UPS shipping (One did at least). While looking at the damage I realized the plastic is bad quality as is the glass! Just be careful!

Ya, I wish there were more options but it's slim pickings on a good looking light.

That it is. Leave it to us to buy ZJ's ;-) lol. I'm actually 100% okay now with the clear Lexan on the regular housing with the setup I have in there. I actually love it. It bothered me how recessed the lens was on the v1.0 black lenses, but it looks great, almost factory with this setup! I'll have to take some real photos soon. Snow & ice here tomorrow, so we'll see.

I was thinking of trying 1/2" Lexan hehe.

Been watching with great interest and this has been a great thread ! I missed something somewhere, why couldn't you use the clear lens that comes with the euro housings?

How much were those crystal clear headlights?

Those just replace the oem headlights right it's just a better looking one?

The clear headlights were $100 shipped on eBay. I'm sure they could have been used but the lens cracked during UPS transit. If it cracks that easily, I don't want to run it on the trails. Lexan is nearly bullet proof. I prefer rocks and tree branches hitting Lexan versus glass. Example... the tree that ruined my fender, hood, and grill, also took out my housing, but the Lexan survived without damage (minor scratches).

Latest shot, just moment ago:

Euro housings are still diffused glass.

I can't say for sure. I just think that the glass being so thin/easily broken may create issues even with road debris. I'd suggest going the Lexan route. I'll make kits for anyone who wants them. Just shoot me a PM.

I just think what you did looks exceptional. I'm pretty handy at this type of thing, and would be willing to give it a try myself. Bookmarked the thread.

If you like the style, I went with a factory housing and sheet of Lexan cut to fit. I think that's the ultimate strength as well as great looks. Saves you the $100 for the new housings.
