1997 ZJ flipper glass?

The flipper glass in my ZJ won't open with the button on the liftgate. I had the inside panel off to fix the rear wiper and was able to open the flipper glass manually. While trying to solve the problem, I removed a wire connector that seems to go to the latch (first picture). When I took the connector apart, I found that one of the terminals seemed to be missing the metal on the inside of it (second picture). Any insight as to what it is for and where to get a replacement would be very much appreciated.

Thanks, that post looks like it'll be helpful. I'll have to work on that and see if that's the problem.

xcaliber81, it has three wires. I used the link Metallheadd posted and that did solve my issue with the liftglass. I'm still interested in what that plug is for though.
