1997 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo 6 cylinder issue with stalling at low speeds / gears

Hello,

I have a 1997 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo 6 cylinder with an automatic transmission. I have an issue that just recently came to light. No check engine light. The car stalls at low speeds (first/second gear), and it takes forever to switch from first to second gear, sometimes seeming like it looses connection to the wheels during this time. My car also takes a while to start and I am not sure if that is related. What could this be caused by? My fluids are fine.

Start by cleaning the throttle body and IAC.
Get some throttle body cleaner, spray it into all the little slits and holes, remove the IAC ( dont try to adjust it !)...clean the heck out of it as well as inside the TB where it mounts.

However, the BEST way is to remove the throttle body to clean it.

Then clean and tighten all your grounding points. Battery, fender well, below the dipstick and coil. Then adjust your TV cable....but do it ONLY after everything else has been done. If it still doesnt clear up, go to Zeejay's list of the dirty dozen.
