1997 Grand Cherokee Wont Start

new gc owner & new member, just got a 97 4.0 grand cherokee that was driven under water part way & now wont fire. the engine cranks over & other electrical parts work like windows & wipers but the engine just wont start. i haven't checked for spark or other troubleshooting yet, just wondering if anyone has any ideas of what could go if the front end was part waty submerged.

i was thinking maybe the main ecm was shorted out. any ideas are apprecitaed, i would really like to get this running again. it ran great before it got wet.
