1997 Grand Cherokee air conditioning problem

I have a 97 jeep grand cherokee. the problem is that the air conditioning drain is no longer working properly. water has leaked out onto my feet while driving and another time has soaked the rear passenger side floor with water (a lot of water). I need help finding where the air conditioning drains through. thank you very much for any advice you can offer.

same problem

I have a posting on the forum titled "condensation on floorboard....help!" with the exact same problem. A gentlemen was kind enough to share this info with me:

"if you look under the dash, behind the carpet on the passenger side, there is a black plastic piece. drill a 1/4" hole in the middle of it. then take a coat hanger (or whatever), and poke it around in there. to plug it back up there is a plug you can buy from the stealership or you can just cover it with black electrical tape, like i did.
if you need more info, do a search at www.jeepsunlimited.com or www.nagca.com . i saw a write up about it at 1 of those sights."

I checked out the sites and he is correct, many people have fixed it this way. You can also use black RTV sealant to reseal the hole. Just an FYI......
