1997 5.2 crank but no start, need help with crank sensor replacement.

hey guys its my first time posting on here and i need some advice

my jeep just died while driving the other day and doesnt have any spark and the coil has tested good. i can hear the fuel pump turning on and gas in the intake doesnt make it start. my auto teacher told me ot replace the crank sensor as it is the likely problem but after looking at the location.....

im in ohio currently working on a gravel parking lot covered in snow, i have jack stands i can use but its freaking cold, any way to get at it from through the shifter?

and any other stuff i can do to be sure this sensor is the problem?

pull codes before purchasing parts. It may not be a crank sensor.

If at first you don't succeed, use more speed.

if there is no CEL light it could be the CPS or the ECM. I believe that when we did ours the bolts were 8mm.

If you haven't fixed it already, it may be the IAT sensor on the throttle body.
