1996 Grand Cherokee Laredo 5.2

Hello, I just bought this 96 ZJ around a month ago. Previous owner worked at a Chrysler/Jeep/Dodge dealership. I was lucky enough to get it for cheap!

5.2 crate engine
44RE (rebuilt)
242 swap (rebuilt)
Dana 30 front axle (rebuilt)
Dana 44a Limited Slip (new bearings last weekend)
3 inch lift
32x11.5x15 wild country tires
Flowmaster exhaust

let me know what you think

Hmm actually there aren't any up here. Closest one is at Brown Mountain. I am from the QC, well Mooresville but close enough.

I had to put a new tank w/exhaust shield since he said he lost it and it burned through the plastic of the tank and leaked. Had a new headliner put in as well.

Nice clean ZJ.

Looks like the previous owner got the rust delete mod. I'm envious.

Very nice indeed. With the lift and tire's I'd have thought that it would be much more used/abused than it looks. You could eat of that motor, and it looks like the tranny is freshly done as well. Enjoy.

I just scored a VIC in perfect condition and an auto dim rear view mirror from a 98 5.9 Limited. $50 for both! I was missing the mirror and my VIC didnt even come on. I got the gas tank and shield from it back in July. The only thing wrong with it is the trans. I see more parts I can steal from it!

Well, long time no update. I for sure have done lot of things, mainly cosmetic. Wired a 12" sub and installed factory fogs/switch among other things.

Recently I have been chasing coolant leaks. It culminated in finally coming out from behind the timing cover. It may look easy, and would have been if the oil pan gasket hadn't stuck to the timing cover and ripped. This causes you to drop the exhaust and pan. If you have had any exhaust work done and by that I mean, no more clamp in front of your converter and it's welded, then you have to drop the trans cross member as well!! Ah well, no leaks now.

While it had it down, I reverse flushed the heater core and I have heat again. I also installed a Kat's engine block heater. It works good. Cranks easy and keeps it warmish when it is ZERO and snowing like crazy.
