1995 jeep grand cherokee ZJ

I am new here and I am looking to buy a 1995 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4x4 ZJ and thought I would ask for some advice first ...

it has a 5.2 V8 all time 4x4 auto transmission runs and drives great no problems doesn't smoke or burn any fluids or leak it has 224,XXX miles and still seem strong the rear end was replaced with in a couple months oil is changed religously along with routine maintinence ...

the ...the shift is loose and you have to wait for it to engage to let go of the shifter (claims it is loose linkage) , it has 224,XXX, needs minor body work and the interior shows normal wear and smells like cigarette smoke

he is asking $2,250

what do you guys think?

I would check with KBB. Then offer him about $1800 cash.

That seems a bit high in my opinion. Good luck with the search.

I bought my Son a 94ZJ Limited, one owner with 124K miles, and paid $1700.00 total for it.
If you are trading, then the values are relative, but on a cash transaction you should be able to find a better deal due to gas prices.

i wouldnt pay a dime more than $1.5k for it cash. there are WAY WAY WAY too many ZJs out there to pay that much for one with that many miles.
