Ok, part 2 of our saga. Ken's Jeep finally put out a code 54 (From the code list) 54 Distributor sync pickup. Change sync sensor in distributor.

He changed this and for about the first 10 minutes things were looking good. After the vehicle heated up, it started missing and when he lets off the brake with the shifter in Reverse it died.

The check engine light isn't giving me any code now. PLEASE if any one has an idea, we need HELP!!!

We were 4wheeling in some water and pretty rough terrain when this all started.
