1995 Grand Cherokee headlights

HELLLOOOO!!
my girlfriend just got a 1995 zj Grand Cherokee and needs to replace the headlights. I work on my 89 YJ all the time, but i do not know a heck of a lot about the G Cherokee.
1) What is the procedure for removing these things?
2) where can i get some replacements for cheap (besides quadratec)?
3) are there a lot of problems with the headlights/tailights?

thanks a million fellas!!
Peace,
Max

Hi Max,

For most procedures, especially things such as headlight removal, just do a quick search on this forum and you'll find everything you need.

For example this explanation of the procedure came up in the search results.

In regard to your other two questions...try eBay, there are several people selling replacements, and a quick Google search will turn up several more.

I haven't had any issues with my electrical system or my head or taillamps, though I have a 97 so YMMV.

HTH.

Hey Max,
Do you need to replace the lamps, or the housings?
You can replace the lamps from inside the engine bay, but you'll have to pull the battery to reach the passenger side bulb.
If you need to replace the housings, that is pretty easy too, as Joe already provided a link for that.

Replacement Headlights

Max

I replaced the headlights on my '96ZJ. They are very simple. They actually just pop out. push from the back and pull from the front....pop....it's as easy as that. As for where you can find them pretty cheap......well, eBay is a good place but if you want brand new ones at a great $$$, try www.headlightsandtaillights.com

I got them for about $40 per light and they fit perfectly.
