1995 fog light location

I searched but couldn't find this. My rescue zj has some broken foglights mounted on top of a destroyed front bumper cover. My plan is to Rockauto(none avail from local yards) a primed front cover & paint to match. What I don't know is if the fog lights mounted in front of the grill/on top of bumper are stock- do I order cover with fog lights? I suspect the cover w/fog lights means a cut out on the lower part of cover (like my 11 Durango) I dunno..

The early ZJ (pre-96) had the fog lights on top the bumper and the later ones (96-98) had it below and integral with it.

Pretty sure the older models, '93-'95, had them mounted to the metal bumper under the cover and came out in front of the grill. I've seen a few like that in the local yards anyways

^^^ What he said. Mine did not come with lights, but I found some factory brackets on E-Bay (used) that cost me $10 shipped. They bolt to the metal body under the grille at the back of the plastic bumper cover. I think the bolts were M10 or M12. The bracket extends out over the bumper shell, away from the grille. I was going to make my own out of 1/8" flat stock until I found these.

This explains the absence of a mounting point when I moved my lights over from my 94 to a 98.

This is the the truth. My 95 had fog lights and yes they were mounted to the metal bumper underneath the bumper cover
