So I figured I'd tell you guys how to program a keyless entry remote to your 1993-1995 ZJ.
Here is the remote I used for my 1994 ZJ, bought off of eBay for what I think is a pretty good price ($170 at a dealer, $60 on eBay): http://www.ebay.com/itm/190679554318...84.m1439.l2649
It arrived quickly and in good condition. Here's how I programmed it, following the procedure in the owner's manual (figured I'd post this just in case your ZJ didn't have the owner's manual when you purchased it):
First, you need to determine if your ZJ even had keyless entry to begin with. If you see a black dome in the roof, your ZJ had keyless entry. If not, then your ZJ did not come with keyless entry, and you'll have to go the aftermarket route. If your ZJ had keyless entry, here's how to program it:
1.) Make sure all doors, the liftgate, and the hood are all closed.
2.) Get into the driver's seat and shut the door.
3.) Put one of your keys into the ignition, but do not turn it yet.
4.) Open the driver's door and manually slide the lock switch from the unlocked position (orange) to the locked position (black).
5.) Start your ZJ like normal.
6.) Hold the keyless entry remote up to the little dome in the roof. Hold down 'Unlock' on the keyless entry remote (the button on the left) and do not let go of it until the red LED on the keyless entry remote blinks rapidly. You should hear the door locks cycle.
7.) Shut your ZJ off within twenty (20) seconds. Try out your keyless entry remote and make sure it works. That's it!
