10.5" vs 11.5" wide tire

i'm about to order a new set of wheels, and i was debating between 7" wide and 8" wide. everything i've searched on has recommended 7" for a 31x10.5 or smaller, and an 8" for a 32x11.5. i still can't decided which tire route to go, so i don't want to buy a wheel that will limit me in either direction. will the 10.5s work well on an 8" wide wheel? any problems airing down?

10.5's will work fine on a 7 or 8" rim.

11.50 wide tires will work just fine on 7" wide wheels.

awesome, thanks

it seems like everything i searched on described that as a dividing line between tire sizes that work. at least i won't be sticking myself with a tire size i don't want down the road.

I run 11.5" on 7" wide, no problems...

Still I would have gotten 8" wide.
