1" or 2" BB Does It require new shocks / springs?

If a 1" or 2" BB spacer lift kit is used on a stock '02 Grand Cherokee, do the factory shocks or springs need to be replaced to compensate for the increased height? Is there any danger of alignment / suspension dammage due to changing the nature of the vehicles suspension? My jeep is still under bumper - bumper warranty so I am hesitant to modify the suspension at this time. Any thoughts from those who have done this mod?

ask the dealer a/b the warranty- I think it voids it. I put a 2" lift and used the original springs and shocks. With the 2" lift there is no danger of causing damage to suspension or drivetrain. You will need an alignment though. The 2" and 2.5" lift really looks good!
