'04 Very High Idle at Start - ???

My '04 Grand Cherokee has been hitting 2500 RPM's at start and sometimes holding this for a full minute - of course the day I leave at the shop they say it won't do it, but now is doing again every day - worse when it's been sitting awhile.

Any suggestions? Not only wasting gas, but always in a hurry and hate waiting a minute to be able to drop in gear.

Thanks!

Start by cleaning your IAC. Fixed my WJ 2000 GC Ltd. See 'Steve's IAC Fix' http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=150055&page=2

Its cheap & easy! If that doesn't work, replace your TPS (Throttle Position Sensor).
Where is the TPS located? Anyone have a picture to help?
Vehicle continues to surge in RPM's for 10-15 seconds at start - hope to knock this out...
Thanks again!
