04 Grand Cherokee Perform Service

Yesterday I was on my way to a friends to play cards and all of a sudden I heard 3 beeps a pause than 3 more beeps. Looked up at my council and the words perform services. There was no indicator light on dash to service engine. Just wondering if I should hook up a code reader or what should I do? About a week ago the jeep wouldn't starting but I found the battery cables where corroded and cleaned them up and everything was OK. Every time I start the jeep since yesterday I get the three beeps pause than three beeps again. Maybe I should just undo the battery weight awhile and reconnect and see if it happens again. Any suggestions or is it time to see a dealer?

Simple, it is a reminder. You determine the mileage interval using the info center, IIRC, upto 6k mi./Km

yup, oil change time... scroll through the display untill perform service is on the screen, then hit reset, will reset to whatever the mileage is set at. you can also change that the same way...

guessin you just recently purchased this 04 ?

We bought it about 7 months ago. We just got a oil change about 2000 km ago. We had service by the dealer. They did a 8 point inspection on it and said everything is ok. Sure do love driving it. So I can reset everything myself. Ever cool.
