02 WJ Sunroof won't open

The sunroof will vent but it won't open the passenger side looks like it will try to open but the driver side won't budge back at all and looks like it twists the glass in place.

It will open just fine to vent and will close. When closed it looks like passenger side is sucked down a little too far?

It was working just fine the other day had it open and closed it going down the road at about 60 and was expecting problems with it closing but it did just fine. Then my wife tried opening it the next day and it wouldn't open?

Any suggestions?

Put a brick through it?

Seriously though, it sounds like a cable on that side either snapped or jammed up on something.

Have you tried assisting it in opening with your hands? You may be able to dislodge it, but be careful, it's better to have a closed sunroof on a hot day than an open one on a rainy night.
