00WJ fuse #20

WJ keeps blowing the number #20 fuse. It only happens when you shift from reverse to Drive. Then the fuse blows and you lose the turnsignals and blower. If you start the jeep in neutral and shift into drive the fuse won't blow. I figure it has to be something with the backup lights,or NSS. Does not happen by just hitting the brakes. Any ideas?

Yeah, that fuse passes current that goes through the transmission solenoid/TRS assembly and on to the back-up lights. If there is a short in the part of back-up lights circuit going from the solenoid/TRS connector to the lights, you might have a chance of finding it. If there is a problem with the solenoid/TRS assembly, then you will need professional help.

It would be a good idea to check and retrieve any diagnostic trouble codes stored in the PCM.

codes 1784 in TCM. Not sure what this means
