Tj body mount channel needed
$1.00
Like the title says, I need the body mount channels for a 99 tj from the front to the rear. I could buy a whole tub from davys jeeps here in ohio for 150 but I do not have a trailer to tow it home and they want way to much to cut off the mounts for me. Anybody local or close thats parting the tub out?

I bought my set from vendor 'rayswranglers2010' on ebay.

They were $130/ea plus shipping

Contact them and see if they have any available.

Thanks, Im trying to avoid the cost on this since its reativly cheap to repair in the first place. If I had a trailer, $150 for a rust free tub from davys would be dirt cheap. If I cant find a set cheap ill prolly just go the cheaper route and bend some sheet metal myself and weld it in place. Just dont want to go that route really either.

Either way I sent em an email, thanks for the info.

Anyone else maybe close by with some parts laying around?

Good luck with the repair - I haven't yet actually replaced mine... just finished a frame swap (yes, rusted frame) and the body channels are next.

I fixed mine with two pieces of channel with a square cut in the middle & recessed the square & welded a nut inside the whole thing.

I can't find the pics right now, but look in the link in my Sig in my "build" thread & I think it's on the first page or so. *Edit* post #72 of the thread

& fwiw, there's an aftermarket company (I can't think of right now) that sells those as "torque boxes" iirc.

Edit: I too almost bought a tub just for those, but ended up going the route I did. If you don't recess the mount enough, you will need to trim/shave the body mounts
