Ax-15 5 speed transmission
$200.00
Selling an ax-15 transmission I pulled from my 97 TJ, has 101,000 miles on it.

In need of partial rebuild - reverse gear has a couple chipped teeth...

I let a buddy wheel my rig one afternoon and he got a little excited rocking from 1st to reverse.... needless to say, forward gears shift very smooth. It even shifts smooth into reverse, however, there's a god awful clunk when you roll through the chipped gears. I swapped it for a salvage yard tranny 3 days after and only used reverse when I had to.

The transmission I swapped into my rig was from an XJ so I had to reuse my transmission tail housing. So I have the XJ tail housing to go with this. I do have a spare bellhousing as well if that interests anyone. And I also may have the clutch components, and flywheel if anyone's doing an auto to manual swap. Can include extras for additional costs.

Definitely worth replacing the reverse gear, but I just don't have to time to do it...

Will ship at buyer's expense. Will deliver, or meet as well for gas money. Located 5 minutes south of Portland, ME.

emails preferred over PMs, csalev3@gmail.com, or even texts (207) 730-0169

Thanks for looking - Charlie

The mounting holes can be re-drilled for the correct t-case clocking for a yj/tj.
