YKTDAYJW you forget to put it under the carport overnight get in it in the morning and drive to work with no doors or windows 58 degrees outside and raining on the inside from all the dew that had collected on the top! Just smiled and said man I love my Jeep!

YKYDAYJW You start figuring out how to adapt your tools for the repair you need case in point, have to bend the lock release bar back in shape? Give me a vise and a power outlet box and that issue with the window getting caught on the lock will be fixed right up.

Sitting in the couch watching Velocity channel and surfing Craigslist. Wife comes in and borrows my laptop from me.

Bout an hour later, I walk I to the bedroom an it's sitting there off. Ask her why she didn't bring it back. She replied," how many damn jeeps do you need?"

2 projects, 1 daily driver, and my wife's Hyundai crammed onto a 3 car driveway. Thank Gawd for short wheelbase YJs.

My reply: Now I need parts!

Its a cheapy but it'll get the job done. Its a Chicago electric 180. 220v 180amp mig. Fluxcore and also has the bottle hook up for gas. I haven't gotten to play yet. Gotta make a cord to go from 4 pole house 220 to 3 pole for the welder. Ill have that done Saturday. I am sure it will beat the crap out of my 115v 90amp though.

YKYDAYJ when you are going for your evening jog you smell hot burning metal and you instantly get that "OH crap whats wrong with it now" feeling in your heart. Then you realize you are not in you YJ you are jogging and the YJ is sitting in the garage and couldn't possibly be giving off that "OH ****" smell. WHEW!!!

Ha Yea. That mig class is perfect for most ANYTHING you'll run into on the YJ. You going flux or gas? MY vote is for gas. $200 for the bottle but the welds will make you look like a pro.

I am gonna start with flux. Ill add gas at some point but its not in the budget right now. Besides as long as it penetrates well a grinder can make most welds look nice. I gotta an auto dimming face mask too. I hate the other kind. I need to get back in practice so I got a bunch of scrap to play with till I get the hang of it again.
