Try replacing the bushings, my old xj's wiper would barely move, replaced the bushings for just a couple dollars and you would have swore I replaced the whole assembly, they worked amazing!

Before I replaced the cowl I had off, low speed and Hi. I had to take off the motor assembly and disconnect the wires to fully lower the windshield... Maybe someone more competent could have done it differently.

Might have already been said before, but...

You know you drive a YJ when you can't use the words "New" and "YJ" in the same sentence.

I've got 3 yj's, the two older ones, an 87 and 88, both have delay wipers and both work. The 88 even had factory ac, I saw it only as a nuisance and removed it to make accessing wiring behind my dash. Didn't know yj's had ac till I got one. Come to think of it, the wife's 95 is an automatic, which I also didn't know yj's had till I got one...
