You know you drive a YJ when it's not "irresponsible and disrespectful of your money" to leave the YJ out in the rain without the windows in. She likes it! Plus as long as its not windy the rain doesn't barely get in
Only reason its that much is because I've made a lot of mistakes and bought a lot ofsupposibly working parts...

Sent from my DroidX because I should be doing something else

Does equipment and tooling count?
Lesse jeep was 2300.
Brand new weber 32/36 carb with everything needed and instructions printed out from jeepforums in the box from eBay for 200.
450 for 30 over 258 rebuild kit.
275 for rebuilt tf999 and then I'm gonna rebuild the other one, relocate the vent and do something with it.
90 for a np231 from eBay that is missing the tag off it and I know nothing about it.
258 dollars to get the crank ground (a tad pricy but they were the best shop around and had a real crank polisher and I find the price amusing.)
350 for a kwik way boring bar which was cheap since they go for over 2000 and just finished boring my cylinders with it.
Another 100 for a bunch of other tools, hone, micrometers, and a lot of other stuff.
60 for a bikini top.
150 for a pair of half doors which I need some yj latches for.
And a couple other things I'm missing plus a thousand tiny parts
20 for a 98 4.0 head off craigslist that is just sitting there
200 for valves and related equipment.
Someone add that up for me.

And you know you own a carbed yj when your moms Cherokee has a bad head gasket and you drag it to work to change it and you hardly get anywhere since there are a couple thousand wires going everywhere that are getting in your way, you can't even pull the valve cover off without removing a bunch if stuff off it and it took you forever to find the radiator drain since it has something related to this system called A/C (what's that?) on the front of it and getting in your way.

You know you drive a YJ when you have to stop and ponder the year of every component while at the part store in order to ensure you are buying the correct part. (Hey, my Jeep spans 15 years of parts!)

You know you drive a YJ, when after a monsoon rain storm there is a puddle in the drivers side floor board from the doors not sealing all the way.

Its been raining just about everyday here this week.

Yea, I just drive slower on them, and down shift to a stop. Brakes only need to to be used for a second or two at a final stop.

You know you drive a yj when its all stock and you're bottoming out everytime you go over a speed bump.

Or when it wheels better stock than a blazer or bronco

when you literally have to inch over the speed bump as to not render your rear passenger unconscious.

so true...
also you know you drive a yj when....
a good rain storm gives you the chance to wipe your jeep clean with just a rag....no fancy car washes or anything
