You know you drive a YJ

when your dad tells you that I went old school since I put an aftermarket carb on and it only brought a smile to my face.

When it gets 11mpg the top is always off cuz when you hit the ac job it drops to 6mpg and it's still your daily driver when you live 1hr away from work

... you're driving around in your 4-cylinder YJ when "I Can't Drive 55" comes on the radio and all of a sudden, that song takes on a completely different meaning for you.

Or the guy that decided to put a top zipper in the rear window instead of something simple like snaps or nothing at all. Maybe I just have to go through a learning curve.

when people trying to lift the passenger seat to get in the back always hit the seat tilt lever first.

when people in the back always have to dig for the seat buckles

when it takes forever for people to find the door handle at night. "directly below the mirror"

when your sideview mirrors have to be straightened almost before every drive

when you constantly get fingered by the low ricers in front of you at the stoplight thinking you are highbeaming them, laugh, then actually high beam them

when your tires squeal going around most corners and u-turns sound like you're being very aggresive but really are not

when your cracked header smells, kills your gas mileage and isn't good for your engine, but you think it sounds great

when the your vent option is really is still heat so to cool down you have to turn it to off

SOOO TRUE! Today on my way home from college I was approaching a honda that was going the opposite direction, and he kept flashing his high beams at me thinking mine were on. I was on low beams. So I flipped on my high beams AND my super bright long range KC lights on the bumper. Needless to say he shut up.

So it's not just me, eh? Any idea why they do that?

Glad I'm not the only one. You know that firewall grommet that is right above the heater vent? I lost mine, so when I drive around at about 35, I get warm engine air blowing back on my feet.

When people with round headlights are too afraid to do the same thing you do...(wheeling with my friends who have a 2000 TJ with 2" of body lift and 31s, and a 2011 JKU Sahara)...I crawled up on a rock, and they didn't want to try it.
