I know this has been said before, but it happened to me yesterday, so...

You know you drive a YJ when a guy in a TJ gives you the jeep wave, and you don't acknowledge it, or return the wave.

Just had to re-weld on a new piece of frame at my back shackle mounts. It's not as bad as it seams. if you have access to a welder than all you have to do is go to the wreckers and have them cut you off a piece. Then just sleeve it and weld it back on. Don't give up on her, you'll regret it.

Agreed - that's not cool Sleuth - we're all Jeep owners - round headlights, square headlights, hardtops, softtops, cherry'd Jeeps, Jeeps with pin stripes of honor. A Jeep is a Jeep no matter what.

I say thumbs up to all my Jeep bros and sisters

Right on WarWagon. I respect all people and return a wave from anyone. Respect is respect. I am no better than the 16 year old McDonalds kid driving in a Ford Escort. Oh, and we have an XJ, YJ, and ZJ. My ZJ is the one that pulls out my YJ when I high center it lol.

92 XJ, 4.0 NP231 - Stock to rebuild for my daughter, 235x75R15s
95 YJ, 2.5 NP231- 1" shackle, 4.0 tb, 19lbs injectors, e-fan, 31x10.5R15 Treadwright tires.
93 ZJ, 4.0 w/AW4 NP231 - 2" BB, 1 inch spring lift, 31x10.5R15 Cooper AT3 tires.

In GOD we trust. It's a Jesus thing.

It's sad that where I live, I've only had 3 returns and one guy wave me. Apparently there's not much of a Jeep culture here, so when I have friends in my car they get all weirded out when I honk at other jeepers.

You know you drive a YJ when carrying 10 people in your jeep becomes a habit in the beach.

Again though, the JK's are pretty nice and still more fully capable than the other crap that they try to pass as 4x4's out there. I owned a 2009 rubicon, loved it. It's actually what inspired me to get my YJ

This goes for any Jeep you've ever had

You know, that you drive a JEEP, when...
You watch from your driver's seat as an old '70's Chevy K15 truck in pristine condition speeds by you(Just like all other teenagers) as he leaves the parking lot, squeeling tires around the corners.

AND then, as you pull out and, slowly, accelerate up to speed, you find his K15 stranded in the middle of the turn lane at the stop light with his hazard lights on because he's broken down.

So you decide to drive by with your old semi-beat up Jeep and honk at him as you pass by.

It doesn't matter what year you got, nothing's built like a Jeep.

============================
Back to YJ's

You know you drive a YJ when you drive to school in the morning and put down your visor to block the sun, yet you still end up being blinded by the reflection of the sun coming off the hood.

Of course they bend. It's part of the science of how they work.
