Yjhardtop

I just got a hardtop, and I noticed that there is a wire running to the back of the jeep on the inside and it ends right above the wheel well on the left side not sure what it's for! Someone help?

that to me looks like a hookup for trailer lights. my 95 has the same thing inside the tub stuffed in the back drivers side corner by the roll bar.

It looks like the wiring has been there since it left the factory, it has like a plastic covering protecting it all the way back

if im not mistaken the wires that are covered are for the taillights. there are little metal tabs holding it up right under where the rail for a softop would be and then it does down infront of the wheel well and under where the door opening is. The little metal tabs hold it all the way. From the looks of it, it looks like someone just tapped into the tail light wires to add the trailer light hook-up.
