YJ Wrangler Alternator wire upgrade

I have a 2.5 YJ Wrangler not sure if it's 75 or 90 amp but I am upgrading to a 136 amp from a 98 Grand Cherokee 5.2L. My question is do I have to upgrade the wiring? Thanks

Yes sir I would. The factory wiring is crap and WAAAYY undersized not to mention old. I would highly recommend it. Its not too hard either. Just bigger wire to the alternator and starter if you want. Check out my build thread in my sig. I literally just did an alt swap and have pictures of all the wiring I did if you want ideas as to how to go about it. But yea suck it up and just run bigger wire.

Then at the end of the year you can nominate me for a "JeepForum best googler in the Yj section" award.
