YJ in surgery now....

So, my '93 YJ has been sitting on the side of the house for a little over 2 years awaiting an engine transplant, and if finally went in for the new engine yesterday!

Can't wait until I can get back into the game and be driving the Jeep everyday!

As soon as I get it back it's getting an interior makeover with Herculiner, new seats, shifters, speakers, etc. Next will be exterior makeover with a RE 4" and 33X12.50 BFG AT's with new wheels, front tube fenders, TJ rear flares, etc.

I'll post some trasformation pics along the way, I just wanted to share some of my excitement with someone else. My wife isn't nearly as excited as I am!

I'm actually just doing a straight swap and putting in a 2.5L from a 97 TJ. I would have liked to have gone bigger, but the deal was too good on the 2.5L. My boss owns a shop/towing/salvage yard, and gave me a smokin' deal on the engine and install, so I couldn't pass it up. It's going to be my DD again for a couple of years, but when that time is up, it'll be a project Jeep, and I'll go bigger on the engine, and do it myself.
