YJ Steering Play

My 1990 YJ has a lot of steering play which I have isolated to the steering gear box. I am considering ordering a new box from a 4WD catalog, but first would like to make sure I have done all the adjusting possible. I've fiddled with the lock-nut/screw on the top side of the box which appears to raise or lower the main shaft. Didn't have much effect except to take a little wiggle out of the bottom end of the shaft.
1. Is there any other type of adjustment or maintenance that I can do?
2. Is there a rebuild kit available anywhere so that I don't have to buy the entire new box?
Thanks,
Roy

I would recommend an 98-99 Dodge Durango steering box. It bolts in the same but is a stronger unit. I believe it is cheaper than the YJ box too. I paid about $175 for mine.
