YJ lift kit

I have a 95 YJ that is completely stock. I'm looking for a lift kit so I can upgrade to 31" tires. Does anybody have suggestions for a 1.5 - 2" lift kit.

If you're on a tight budget, the least expensive way to fit 31s would be a 1" body lift and 1/2" to 1" shackles.... if you need a touch more, you can trim the fender flares up to the crease. Down the line if/when you want to go up bigger, you can keep those items on when you install a full suspension lift.

What Sean said.

Always forward.

if your springs are flat like mine, you will need to get those addressed first. That puts you buying new springs so you might as well get the good ones.

Spend the money and get quality parts. Cheap is just that, cheap. Won't last long and will cost you more in the end. I saved up and got a 2" BDS kit. There are other quality parts out there like EMU as well.

If your springs are still in good shape, then as Sean suggested and you are good to go.

I would have to agree. If your springs are dead, replace them and don't buy strictly on price. Find the brand you want, then find who has them at the best price.

I put on an OME 2.5" lift and have a 1.5" body lift. I'm running 31's and have more than enough room to move to 32's, and possibly 33's in the future.

I'm looking for a similar lift to move from 30s to 31s and to replace my old, flat springs. You might consider the Black Diamond 1.5", as it seems to be cost-effective:

After reading a bunch on this forum (suggestion to OP: use the search function), it seems like:

BDS, OME and Rubicon Express are all pretty popular with good general reviews.

Rough Country seems to have more negative reviews.

I'm generalizing, and recognize that individuals may have other (good or bad) experiences. Please, no flames :nono:
