Yj lift

I'm looking to soa my 95 yj wrangler but I'm not sure what I'd need to get for all this. Also my jeep is lifted already 2.5" rough country . So my question is would I be able to use the 2.5 leaf springs for the soa if so how much of a lift would I have or should I look for stock leaf springs

You would be able to use them, but would have around 7 inches of overall lift depending on spring condition. This has been done many times, and you could use the search function and find all the answers. Good luck!

Give the Rough Country springs some time, they will be negative arched before you know it.

Joey, have you searched the SOA threads in the FAQ in the YJ section? Because there is a lot more (especially $$) that goes into a viable and more importantly, SAFE SOA lift. It is more than simply moving the springs. I do have a Rubicon Express SOA kit that is NIB I bought a few years ago before I decided to go LCOG instead of SOA.

LCOG= low center of gravity

Like being able to use 36" tires with a 2" suspension lift (no body lift at all) and SUA (spring under axle)

Do you have a build thread for that beauty? How did you fit everything in there?

Hey Mac, what material are you using to extend the tire coverage of your fender flares?

Joey, listen to what Mac said. Properly done, new springs will be a small, small portion of the total cost of going SOA. This is not a mod on which to cut corners.

That said, my rig is SOA with 1.5" RE SOA springs and was on 33" tires. It's tall enough to make it awkward to enter my heep, and I'm 6'1". My 5 foot nothing daughter almost needed a stirrup. Now that I've gone to 37" rubber, I'm getting her a footstool as a joke gift.

Remember, taller means a higher center of gravity. Consider what your width will be. Planning on different wheels with a different offset to widen your stance?
