YJ Idler Pulley Issue

The lower idler pulley near the alternator failed and I cannot find a replacement. Anyone know of a valid manufacturer and part number???

I think you can replace the bearing if you still have the pulley.

Tried the Advance auto supply locally. The only thing the listed was the upper idler pulley near the A/C compressor.

Last I checked, that is the only idler pulley on these motors in stock form. Maybe a photo would help, can you take a pic and post it?

Jeep is currently at the deer lease, approximately 450 miles west, so a pic is a no go for now. Jeep has A/C, perhaps dealer installation, could be factory, don't know. 3.5" diameter back idler at A/C compressor, and 2.75" diameter back idler near alternator.

A pulley is a pulley. They are both the same.

Go to the parts store and ask for a pulley for a 4.0 with air. They are both the same, but the engine with air has 2.

Thanks for the explanation, I'll shut up now never seen a jeep with air. That would be like putting tits on a bull up north here.

YJ Idler Pulley Issue Solved...

Knocked out the old bearing and replaced. Had to machine a new insert to match support bolt, but all is working now. Thanks to all who responded.

All A/C in a YJs is either dealer installed or aftermarket installed.
A Jeep with A/C has 2 idler pulleys one near the compressor the other a little lower on the timing cover both the same diameter.
