Bugflectors and mud flaps have no place on real Jeeps. Back in the day I had a bugflector and while it did help with the bugs, that was about it. I would recommend also the 3M clear pain protector, or I think I saw one called durashield. I mean no matter what it isn't a show car and it will get dinged and scratched.
I repainted mine with rustoleum and still have half a quart left over for touch-ups. And since we're showing off our louvered panels why not...[IMG][/IMG]
I think that if a person wants to keep their paint nice, people ought to stop putting them down and making it seem like they are making a street racer. The guy wants his jeep to look nice. He is not sticking stupid stickers or dumb crap out it, he is trying to protect his paint he just paid a bunch for. It's totally understandable. Not all of us want a bunch of ugly lights and hooks and over sized fenders and winches that never get used on our jeeps. Some of us daily ours and don't go off road but we don't comment on some of the ugly crap people put on their jeeps in the name of "off roading".
I wish mine had nicer paint. I am not going to spend the money to paint it since I live less then half a mile from the ocean though because everything rusts away here, no matter what you do.
Have you considered trading it in for a Prius? You'd save a ton on gas...
It seemed like a good idea at the time...
We aren't all here for the same thing and making dumb comments to people for not conforming to your stupid ideas is ignorant.
Having a jeep is something fun for some people. I cycle to and from work to save gas. Our family vehicle is a four door wrangler, to save gas. I park in the econo parking places at the mall, next to the Prius in our four door because that wrangler gets so much better mileage then my yj.
/\ if you are so worried about mods costing more then you can afford, per your profile, why don't you sell your yj and get a damn Prius. Punk
I don't feel like working on anything, at this time.
I am not a fan of the idea of adding a bug guard to the front of a YJ. It's tantamount to adding the thrush muffler cigar-smoking woodpecker decal, the JC Whitney flames decal, a self-stick fake hood scoop, and curb feelers in my book. But hey, bling that baby out with some 22s while you're at it.
Lol...they would have to be some damn long curb feelers!
