YJ Full Doors - Buying

Someone has a set of full door for sale locally, and I was wondering what you guys thought of them. Are there things I need to look for when I see them in person? I've never used or owned hard doors before so I'm a bit cautious. THe seller says the windows roll up and down fine, but hasn't used them in the rain or anything to see if they leak.

I have attached some pictures.

Looks like the drivers side will leak due to the bend in the top.

My advice is to look at the bottoms for rust. Also check around where the window frame meets the top of sthe door. The doors I sold last year had a little surface rust in those areas and the weld was broken on the passenger side of the frame/door point.

That bend in the door is definitely going to cause a leak. You could throw it on and see but unless you are buying them knowing fixing the window frame will be necessay then I would pass on it. what kind of price is he asking?

I wouldn't pay more than about $150 for them, but they look like they will at least keep you dry.

I say pass unless its a GREAT deal.... that is unless you want to try to fix that driver door, which is going to be a PITA to get perfectly back into shape to close/seal correctly.

Open the vent windows. Most commonly they will fall out when you try to.

This may help you get a discount from the seller.
